Winding Ways News Letter: Italian American Heritage Club
It was a stellar performance by the trio of fabulous entertainment called "Memories". Each song was followed by an overwhelming round of applause and a standing ovation. Their voice shook the walls of Mead Hall and filled the hearts of the audience with praise. Our trip down memory lane of songs from the 50's and 60's was fantastic. As I always say, "don't take my word for I, just ask anyone who attended. "Thanks "Memories" for a great show.

The Staten Island Museum Guild's cabaret evening featured music by the local group, Memories. (Staten Island Advance/Claire ReganThe new Staten Island Museum Guild hosted its first cabaret fundraiser Thursday night at the Hilton Garden Inn, Bloomfield. Guests enjoyed a Tuscan buffet and danced to a nostalgic mix of songs performed by the Staten Island group, Memories, which includes Lou Orrichio, Carl Roldan and Dan Stevens. The toe-tapping medley featured favorites like "You've Lost that Lovin' Feeling" by The Righteous Brothers, "Copacabana" by Barry Manilow and "On the Road Again" by Willie Nelson, capped by a patriotic tribute to veterans, Lee Greenwood's "God Bless the USA."The event gave guild members an opportunity to recall decades of other fundraisers they organized, starting with a champagne gala in the early 1980s for Snug Harbor, then a fledgling cultural center.

Italian-American Cultural Society of New Jersey Members,Our first annual Christmas Party was a huge success. We had 120 people in attendance and a great time was had by everyone. The Buttonwoods Manor in Matawan provided a beautiful room, good food, top shelf liquor and great service. DJ Stu Leslie kept the party going the full 5 hours. The highlight of the night was the entertainment provided by Memories, a singing group with our very own member Lou Orrichio. Memories put on a spectacular show that lasted almost 2 hours and had everyone singing along. Memories did the hits of the past; Sinatra, Righteous Brothers, and Four Seasons to name a few as well as some holiday songs. They were a real class act and were the talk of the party.

On behalf of the board, a special thank you to members Lou Orrichio, Roe Borgersen and Jean Casamissina that planned and made sure the night would be wonderful. I have attached some photos of the party for all to see what a great night was had. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
